How to Book a Consult
The Outpatient Department (OPD) is located at the JICA building. Go to the triage area and book a slot for a consult.
The Neurosurgery clinic is open to book consults every Mondays and Fridays 1:00-3:00PM.
Once you have secured a slot, find the Neurosurgery clinic at the 2nd floor Surgery OPD complex. Your name will be called once the doctor is ready for you.
Elective Admissions
Patients who are scheduled for surgical operations need to complete the following steps:
Secure the requests needed (blood tests, imaging, and other diagnostic tests) from your assigned neurosurgeon.
Pay the lab fees at the cashier.
Proceed to the basement floor for your blood tests and imaging (e.g. X-ray) and to the 2nd floor for your ECG/EEG/and other diagnostic procedures.
Claim all the results of your diagnostic tests.
Proceed to the Internal Medicine - Cardiopulmonary (CP) clearance clinic (for 40 years old adn above) or to the Pediatrics - CP clearance clinic (for 18 and below) to get your CP clearances. If additional clearances are needed unique to your condition, inquire from the referring doctor as to the process to complete the additional clearances. A visit back to the neurosurgery clinic is always welcome.
After clearances have been completed, proceed to the Anesthesiology clinic (2nd floor) for the pre-operative evaluation.
Once the anesthesiology service clears you for the operation, visit the neurosurgery clinic again for final instructions prior to admission.
On the admission date, proceed to the Neurosurgery Ward (Main Building 2nd Floor) and present your diagnostic tests, swab results, and clearances for admission.
All clearances and laboratory tests are valid for 1 month only.Â
